Someone rang me saying they were from BT and said there was an issue with my broadband. They were saying a technician would get in touch to fix it. I mentioned I use Sky for internet, and they just cut the call straight away! Seems like a total phishing attempt to me!

Somebody rang me saying they were from "BT" and started rambling on about issues with my internet router. Their English was shocking - I’m pretty good at understanding accents but could barely catch half of what they said. I decided to humour them for about ten minutes (no harm done - they couldn’t be scamming anyone while I was chatting), then told them straight up I knew it was a con and told them to get lost.
