I’ve come across con calls that bill you at £1 per minute. The moment you answer, you’re greeted with a voice saying, "Hi, can you hear me? Hello?" It’s quite insistent and feels a bit urgent. The dialogue sometimes switches to, "Hello, the connection is poor, but you can hear me, please call us back when you’re able." It’s definitely a scam. I reckon legal action should be pursued to tackle this.
