I had the exact same thing happen to me - the phone rings once and then they just cut off. Another number that called me from them was 07098702876. You might want to look it up on Who Called Me because it seems like they've got loads of different numbers they use for this annoying scam.

They called me a few times but just cut off each time. Don't waste your time calling them back - it'll end up costing you.

Back in 2016, Ofcom flagged this numbers as a missed call scam. What happens is they ring you, it lasts only a couple seconds then hangs up. If you happen to call back, your phone provider could charge you somewhere between 30p to £1.50 because 070 numbers aren’t treated the same as normal mobiles. So better not to return these calls.

this number keeps ringing my phone but hangs up after just a couple of rings. i think it might be one of those paid call services where they dial loads of numbers daily and get paid for each call, even if no one answers or talks. so instead of actually chatting, they just ring and hang up quickly to make it count as a call and earn money somehow?
