Reports on phone number 07045625922
8 yearsI got a couple of calls on my mobile from some bloke claiming to be from UPS. He mentioned my kids' mum's name and asked me to verify my phone number. After that, he wanted another number as a backup reference and then asked for my daughter's name. I wasn’t having it and just hung up. Later, the landline rang and this guy said he was the manager of the earlier caller, insisting he had to have my daughter’s name for some delivery form due the next day at 1 pm. Felt really dodgy to me.UPs8 yearsWhat really annoyed me was that after I’d told the police about the scam, the woman had the cheek to ring our landline again a few minutes later, this time asking for my dad. I challenged her on how she knew his name and where she got our number from but she just kept quiet and ended the call. When I tried to ring her back, it just wouldn’t connect. Proper dodgy behaviour if you ask me.8 yearsThankfully I was actually home when the call came through - my mum was freaking out because she thought her son had been arrested unfairly. So I answered. The bloke then said we'd need to put up £3000 in bail within the hour to get my brother released, or else he'd be locked up for a week. That's when I realised something wasn't right and gave my brother a ring on my own phone. Even though the number on the other end kept going on about us being watched and all that nonsense.8 yearsGot a call from an Indian guy again, loads of background noise making it hard to hear. Honestly, these should just be blocked straight away!!8 yearsHad another call from someone claiming to be Open Reach - total scam, obviously. Seriously, BT and Open Reach need to get their act together and block these dodgy numbers for good.BTOpen8 yearsI got a call from this number claiming to be UPS, saying they had a package to drop off tomorrow and asked if I'd be in. The voice sounded like an Indian guy from some busy call centre. When I asked what the parcel was and who sent it, he just said it was from London. I told him it made no sense and ended the call straight away.UPSLondon8 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be from UPS, saying they had a package for me. The number started with 07, which was a bit dodgy, plus the name they mentioned wasn’t mine. I asked if I could track the parcel myself so they could give me a code, but then they said they'd check with a manager who refused to share any code. Honestly, don’t waste your time answering calls like this. If UPS was genuine, surely they’d send an email rather than randomly ring you?UPS8 yearsGot a call from some bloke claiming he was with BT Openreach, saying my internet speed was getting worse every day. He also told me I wasn’t actually a BT customer. I just hung up straight away.BT OpenreachBT8 yearsOh no, not this rubbish again! A few weeks back, we got bombarded with calls, like 20 or more on every direct number all in one day. Absolute scammers, no doubt! I informed them we’re registered with the TPS, shouted a bit down the line, and told them the call was unlawful and that we’d report them. Weirdly, they just hung up! Seriously, these jokers need to be stopped. Loads of folks here have raised this but does anyone actually do anything about it? I’m not so sure.Telephone Preference Service8 yearsThis number called me and somehow knew all my personal info.
