got a call from a lady who said she was from amazon, telling me my mum owed £70 on her account and to ring “this number.” problem is, neither me nor my mum have an amazon account. we've had a couple of calls like this before but from different phone numbers, so we sussed it was a scam pretty quick. the caller ID displayed an international number, but when I checked the number via 1471, it showed up as the UK mobile listed above. feels like they’re trying to trick older folks, which is really worrying.
