Looks like this might be some kind of fresh scam going around, loads of us got calls around the 10th or 11th of May. I didn’t pick up since the number was unfamiliar and when I checked my voicemail, there was nothing left. Even though I’m registered with the TPS, these calls keep coming, somehow they always find a way around it. Proper annoying.

Got a call from a bloke who sounded Asian, said something about an accident I was involved in. I told him we've registered with the telephone preference service and he shouldn't be calling me. Then I just ended the call. Sorted!

Got a call about some accident that supposedly occurred, but I know nothing about it. When I asked more questions, the person just quickly ended the call. Total scam, I reckon.

Honestly, I haven't got a clue who rang me - I never even picked up. My voicemail sorted it out first. They didn’t leave a message either, and after seeing what others have said here, I’m quite relieved I didn’t bother. My tip? Either just ignore it or, like me, mess with them a bit when you do answer. I like to act all daft and confused - ‘What? When? Hang on, am I alright?’ lol. I know it’s a bit cheeky, but if they’re gonna waste my time, I’ll return the favour! :D

some lady with an asian accent called saying there’d been an accident, i shouted at her to remove my number from their list, so annoying! can’t they do anything to stop these calls? bloody annoying!

Got a call like this not long ago from someone speaking with a thick Indian or Pakistani accent, saying something about my car accident. I just told them to piss off straight away! This is probably the fifth time we've been bothered in the last couple of weeks. I can't for the life of me figure out why BT isn't sorting this out!

I saw the number but didn't pick up as I didn't know who it was. When I tried calling back, it just ended up ringing out and disconnecting.

He rang up saying something about my car crash. I wasn’t sure what he said, so I asked him to say it again. Then I was like, “Oh, you had an accident? You okay?” Then he just swore at me twice and slammed the phone down. Would be funny if he calls again so I can actually check if he’s alright or not.

This number kept ringing our business lines non stop, must have been close to 100 calls in just a few mins. Each time they just cut off straight away without saying a word. Really strange behaviour.
