I received a call that went silent as soon as I picked up, which isn't exactly rare, but then shortly after, I got a text message claiming to be from EE, urging me to ring 02072888799. I've done a bit of digging, and it turns out that number is flagged as a scam online. To add to the oddness, the number starting with 0156 displayed on my phone has 12 digits, something I’ve never encountered before.
