My mum, who's 80, keeps getting calls and somehow they got her to say a password she only ever uses for her bank. I honestly have no idea where they’re getting this info from. She’s ex-directory and not listed on any public registers. A few years back, the same sort of thing happened but with another phone number. Thankfully, we were able to recover the funds through the bank’s fraud department. It’s worrying how they keep finding ways to reach her.

I received a rather startling call from someone trying to convince me to renew a policy that I’ve never even held. When I pointed out that the price they were quoting was enough to buy a new television, they were incredibly curt with me. Oddly enough, they’ve now gone ahead and cancelled this fictitious policy of mine. They've somehow managed to find out which bank I’m with! Just a word of caution to everyone - stay vigilant!

I've been hounding my elderly father, who's 83 and a bit muddled in the head. He’s fallen victim to some unscrupulous folks who’ve conned him into spending money on insurance he absolutely doesn’t require. It’s utterly vile! Once, I picked up the phone when they rang, and the bloke just hung up on me without a word. It's infuriating, as there's no apparent way to get in touch with them again!

I received a call from someone named 'Dean' who claimed to represent 'The Digital Team'. He specifically mentioned my name and mentioned something about insurance for my Sky equipment, which made me suspicious. To add to my unease, he referenced a password that I had used previously. When I confronted him about the possibility that he could only know that password if my, or someone else's, account had been compromised, he abruptly ended the call after I requested his phone number. Quite dodgy behaviour, if you ask me!

Someone called claiming to be ‘Dean’ from some ‘digital team’. He knew my name and even mentioned a password I’ve used before, said it was about insurance for our Sky box. I got suspicious straight away - how else would he know an old password unless there’s been a hack somewhere? When I asked for his phone number to check, he just hung up on me. Definitely felt like a scam.

I got a call from some lot calling themselves The Digital Team from West Sussex, trying to get my folks to renew their Sky box and TV. They said it would cost £99 for the year, which sounded odd to me. When my parents refused to give any info, they told them to ring back on 08004337271. Turns out, they ain't connected to dgi sky protect, which is who my folks actually pay monthly by direct debit for their policy. Sounds like a total scam trying to sell you something you already have. Watch out for this one!

I’ve had a few companies reach out, attempting to persuade me to renew my Sky TV cover. The thing is, we're already covered by Sky Protect. On top of that, two other firms have been pestering us with regards to passwords and whatnot. I’ve made it clear to them that we don’t wish to be contacted, and I've asked them to update their records accordingly.
