This afternoon, I had two missed calls from someone inquiring about 'the cartoonist'. The moment we asked who was on the line, they promptly hung up. We decided to return the call, only for them to disconnect without uttering a single word. Quite mysterious, I must say!

This afternoon, I received a couple of calls from a number seeking out a "cartoonist." When we inquired about who it was, they abruptly hung up. We attempted to return the call, but they cut us off again without uttering a single word. Quite baffling, really!

I had a rather peculiar phone call today. The individual on the line insisted on speaking to the proprietor of the company, which, of course, is yours truly. So, I politely responded with, "You're alright, but no thank you." The caller, rather baffled, retorted, "No thank you to what?" to which I clarified, "To whatever proposal you were about to make." This led to a rather chaotic exchange with her stumbling over her words, culminating in a rather vociferous diatribe, where she claimed, "I earn more in a day than you do in a month," before abruptly hanging up. Quite delightful, really!

I had an intriguing conversation today with someone who mentioned our visibility on search engine maps. They pointed out that if you type 'artist in ****', we pop up at the top, which we already knew, so thanks for that clarification! Then they went on to say we haven't been optimising our presence, and I had to interject to explain that it’s not really how artists typically find work. At one point, she asked rather condescendingly, "Are you absolutely certain that all your business doesn’t just come from Google?" My polite chuckle must have rubbed her the wrong way because she mumbled something under her breath that I couldn't quite catch, but her tone was dripping with sarcasm as she hung up. Quite delightful, really!

So, we politely declared, “We’re quite alright, thank you.” To which the caller retorted, “No thanks to what?” I clarified, “To whatever sales pitch you’re attempting to present.” This triggered a jumble of incoherent murmurs from her side, quickly escalating into a rather rude barrage of insults, culminating in the boastful claim, “I earn in a day what you do in a month,” before she abruptly hung up. How delightful!

The caller sounded remarkably like a young woman, probably in her twenties. She mentioned there was an opportunity to rank at the pinnacle of Google’s search results. You know Google, right? The place where you type in your queries? Well, apparently, there’s a chance to feature right at the top as 'yourself'. When we inquired how she obtained our number, she replied, “Oh, just a database I receive.” We made it clear we weren’t keen on what she was offering, and she promptly hung up the phone.

I’ve come across a rather irritating youngling claiming to be affiliated with a search engine, trying to peddle us some Google search results.

Countless calls coming through!
