13 yearsI have caller ID and this number has popped up loads of times before. Decided to pick up this time, and some bloke started yabbering on way too much about whether I’m still getting loads of spam calls. I told him “yeah, even from you lot.” He claimed “we’re not spam, we’re a government team trying to stop those calls.” I told him seeing their number so many times makes them spam in my book. Then he said, “since you answered now, you won’t get any more.” I just said “great.” His response? “I can't be bothered.” Then he ended the call. Definitely sounds like a dodgy scammer wanting to take money to stop junk calls (no thanks) and nothing to do with any official government scheme.
