I received a rather similar phone call earlier on today, with someone claiming I owed £50 for an advertisement in a magazine where I supposedly had a feature. Truth be told, I can't recall ever approving an ad at that price! The caller was adamant about us settling what they described as an overdue invoice and said they’d send us a 'paid' invoice afterwards. That's not how I like to conduct my affairs. My policy is straightforward: invoice comes first, payment follows, and then a receipt-end of discussion.

A company called us trying to sell an advertisement in a magazine, but we had no knowledge of it whatsoever. When we called the number back, the same voice answered, but this time it was for a Dog Rescue Centre or something similar! Quite bizarre, really.

A company called us asking for payment for an advertisement in a magazine, but we had absolutely no idea what they were on about. So, we decided to call the number back, and would you believe it, the very same voice answered, claiming to be from a Dog Home! How peculiar is that?
