Got a text that said: Dear Mr #########, we've dropped a message in your online banking inbox titled "Please review our updated online banking agreement". They asked me to read it ASAP and make sure my email address is right so I get their updates going forward. Thing is, I haven't held an online account with Lloyds for ages. The message didn't include any links, and I guess I could've replied, but I chose not to. I went ahead and sent the text to 7726 to report it as SPAM.

Got a message from a number saying: Acct_3860_04Aug Your account has insufficient funds to cover standing orders. Please top up before 2:30pm otherwise the payment won’t go through. Thing is, I don’t even have any standing orders set up, so pretty sure it’s a scam. Best not to trust these.

Got a message saying my Business Card ending in 7829 was sent and should be arriving soon. They said if it doesn’t come in a few days to ring 0345 602 2042. Also, if I don’t want these updates anymore, call the same number. Thing is, I’m not a Lloyds customer at all, so I checked online and found out it’s just another scam. Blocked the number straight away.

Got a load of texts claiming to be from Lloyds Bank telling me to ring 03330 459520. Then the same number started blowing up my landline and left several voicemails - came out of nowhere! I ended up calling Lloyds Bank through their official Fraud helpline 0345 6062172 just to check. They confirmed that 03330 459520 is definitely a scam number. Watch out!

Got this message earlier. It’s from Lloyds Bank Business Banking, saying they want to improve their service and support. They ask for feedback on how things are going and what they could do to help better in the future. Really fooled me at first because the initial message showed up as Lloyd’s Bank - just like someone saved under your contacts! But if you click to view their contact info, it’s a dodgy number ‭55 6937 2265‬. Then the texts that follow change again and say they’re from Lloyd’s Fraud Department. The ‘help’ number they give you is where they try to snag your personal info! Proper scam, so watch out! 😡

This week I got a call from this number, and it showed up on my phone as Lloyds. I already had them saved under that name, so I nearly thought it was legit since they even knew my name. They were asking to verify my bank details about a PPI claim I’m currently sorting. But I went straight to the bank in person to check the official PPI helpline number and this number definitely isn’t one they use. Honestly, it’s just another scam.

Someone was tryna get personal details. My mum got caught out and then the fraudster attempted to switch the contact to a really similar one but with a Romanian dialling code.
