I rang that number using another phone and a woman answered, saying it’s RBS. She told me I don't have to do anything else but maybe expect some more calls later on.

Received a call claiming my Ulster Bank card was found at a branch. I don't even have an account there, so this has to be a scam for sure.

Honestly, Ulster bank called me to say they’d located my debit card and that someone had handed it in at a Belfast branch. They didn’t request any personal info and advised me to freeze my card using the app till it arrived back through the post. Luckily, it turned out to be a decent person who found it. Genuine people are still around 😊

I can confirm that this number belongs to NatWest. They rang me from their Market Street branch in Manchester to inquire if I’d be interested in a financial health assessment. No sensitive information was requested during the call. I was informed that if I had any doubts, I could easily arrange a meeting at my local branch or use the mobile app or website. Additionally, there's an option where they can send you a verification email confirming their identity, which is just what I did-of course, I refrained from sharing any personal info during the call, but I did receive an authentic email from NatWest subsequently. Thumbs up! 👍

Today, I received a voicemail from someone named "Dawn Davenport" claiming to be from the Royal Bank in Manchester. She requested that I get in touch using another number. Considering what others have said about similar instances, I’ve decided it’s best not to call back.

Legit call from Natwest, just a quick check on the bank details, then they started asking about when my home insurance ends and tried pushing to switch it to them, but since they won’t lend me money, I said no thanks 😄

I rang NatWest after getting one of these calls, but they said they had no record of it. When I shared some of the details the caller had, they just passed me on to their fraud team. I pointed out that the info they mentioned could be pulled from a credit check, which is probably how they sound convincing.

Someone rang saying they were from Natwest in Didsbury, Manchester. Right away I thought it was fishy cause they kept pushing me to switch my account. Once I ended the call, I got in touch with Natwest myself and they confirmed it was definitely a scam. Don’t give out any info to that number, it’s dodgy.

That was a legit call from NatWest, very polite. They didn’t ask for any of my private details. When I rang back, the message said it was RBS, which is the same company as NatWest, and it was just a courtesy call so no worries. My local branch told me this number pops up on caller ID because they use one shared line for calls from the office phones, since not everyone’s got a work mobile. Totally fine to pick up if it rings.

I picked up and waited for someone to speak. They said they were from my local bank - turns out the number is used bank-wide. When I checked the number, it didn’t match what she said would show on my phone, so I thought I’d double check here! It was a polite call just to see how I was doing with the COVID-19 lockdown and to inform me about changes to branch opening times. They didn’t ask for or share any personal info.

I got a call from this number saying they were from Natwest and wanted to set up a phone appointment to chat about my finances after the pandemic. I reckon this is a legit call, they usually ring you up after you apply for something with them, like a credit card or a mortgage, just to check if you want to proceed or have any questions. I haven’t had a chat with them yet but they did leave a voicemail. Usually they just ask if you want to talk more about it or set up a meeting. Also, RBS is the same as Natwest!

I got a call from 05516650900 just after midnight on 13/01/18 when I was on the road. I didn’t pick up because the number was unfamiliar, seemed like it was from abroad. They left a message saying they were from Natwest mortgage and asked me to ring back on 08001512572. Since Natwest is my bank, I’ll be reaching out to them about this. I’ve blocked the number now.

Natwest rang me regarding my mortgage, asking if they could help lower my monthly payments. I've got calls from my local branch before but on a different number. This time the person gave me an 0800 number to ring back. Not saying it’s dodgy but before I’m sure it’s legit, I’d probably check with my branch directly to see if they know anything about it or if they can confirm it was a real call from them.
