Got a call from someone sounding really legit, claiming to be from Santander. Turns out, it was just a scammer. Quite tricky to tell at first!

Watch out! I got a call from someone claiming to be Santander about an old joint account I used to have. They wanted me to shut it down and move the money elsewhere. I rang Santander’s security team straight away, and they told me they don’t handle calls like that at all. Sounds like a dodgy “safe account” scam to me. Don’t answer and block that number for sure!
