However, this phone number appears to be dodgy, as it doesn’t look like a legitimate UK number. Weird thing is, they already managed to get into my account somehow (still have no clue how). They placed the order for the phone and switched the upgrade on, even changed my password. They didn’t think to update the security question though, so I quickly reset the password back again. To be safe, I also updated my bank security info. They said they already had access to my account and to just ignore any text message I got and share the code they sent. But 02 actually sends those codes and warns you not to share them with anyone, even if they say they’re from 02. The text said "never give this code to anyone, including 02 employees." This is a classic scam, and if you hand over that code, they can get into your account.
