4 yearsGot a call from someone pretending to be from 02, talking about losing customers because of Covid. The moment I mentioned it was a business line, they just hung up on me. Definitely a scam.Covid194 yearsIt seems that I've received a rather unexpected offer from O2, claiming I could enjoy a 50% reduction on my bill. However, this phone number appears to be dodgy, as it doesn’t look like a legitimate UK number. It’s quite likely that it’s just a virtual line being used from overseas, attempting to con unsuspecting folks in the UK.O2UK4 yearsDidn’t pick up, looked the number up online first.4 yearsGot a call from 02 saying they’d notice my loyalty and offered a free phone plus a 40% discount upgrade. Weird thing is, they already managed to get into my account somehow (still have no clue how). They placed the order for the phone and switched the upgrade on, even changed my password. They didn’t think to update the security question though, so I quickly reset the password back again. To be safe, I also updated my bank security info. The phone was sent right to my house, so honestly, I’m puzzled what their real aim was with all this.5 yearsGot a call from 02 claiming they’d give me a discount on my bill. The giveaway was they didn’t even know my name - classic sign it was a scam.5 yearsGot a call from someone saying they’re with 02 offering to slash my bill by 40% because of covid. They wanted a one-time access code, then started sending texts. The first message I got from 02 itself warned not to share the code with anyone over the phone. I ended the call straight away and contacted 02 to let them know. Looks like a dodgy scam trying to hack accounts through messages.O25 yearsI got a call from someone pretending to work for 02, saying I could get a discount. They said they already had access to my account and to just ignore any text message I got and share the code they sent. But 02 actually sends those codes and warns you not to share them with anyone, even if they say they’re from 02. The text said "never give this code to anyone, including 02 employees." This is a classic scam, and if you hand over that code, they can get into your account. So if someone calls claiming to be from 02, just hang up straight away.O25 yearsSo, I got a call from 050 9559 0015 the other day. They said they were from 02, telling me about a free upgrade because of covid and that they were losing customers or something. Totally a scam, not really from 02 at all! Watch out for this dodgy number.5 yearsDoes anyone have any idea who might be calling from this number?5 yearsGot a call from an 02 number, but it ended up ringing somewhere else. The voice on the line sounded like it was from India, definitely a scam. Just blocked it!Submit Your Own Report (050 9559 0015)
