I received a call from a woman claiming to be associated with Telstra's hacking division. She insisted that I should switch on my computer, but her manner really put me off. I probed her with a few questions and finally told her I’d be heading straight to a Telstra branch first thing the next day. This seemed to rattle her a bit, as she kept pressing me to power up my device. Ultimately, I decided enough was enough and ended the call. To be quite honest, I found her claims completely unbelievable.

I got a call from someone saying they were "Harry" from the "BT technical team". Pretty sure it was a scam, BT wouldn’t be calling like that for sure!

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent saying he was with "British Telecommunications". Funny thing is, the same guy called before pretending to be from Microsoft. I hung up straight away cos I've dealt with this kind of scam before. They always say your computer's got viruses and ask you to install some software that lets them take over your PC. Totally a dodgy scam, so be careful!

Got a call from a short number so I assumed it was a local one. When I answered, no one spoke, but I could hear loads of noise in the background, maybe from a train station or airport. I'm not planning to ring back though, feels like it might be one of those call back scams.

Rings me frequently, but all they say before hanging up is goodbye, nothing more.

I picked up the call from this number, but all I encountered was utter silence. It was rather peculiar since it was my first interaction with them. They ended the call just a mere four seconds thereafter.

The phone starts ringing, so I pick it up, yet there’s utter silence on the line. I try again, hoping for a response, but still, not a peep. Suddenly, a robotic female voice chimes in with a curt 'GOODBYE.' Quite the peculiar experience, I must say!
