I got a cheeky call from someone claiming to be from BT when I told him he had the wrong number. When I asked who he was, he was quick to reply but didn’t sound very convincing at all.

Called this evening a number that's ex-directory and registered with the Telephone Preference Service. The only response was a silent pause followed by an automated voice saying "goodbye." Quite odd, really!

I've received numerous calls from this number, and it's becoming quite irritating. The moment we pick up, there’s just silence on the other end. It’s frustrating as they clearly are just a bother, like a persistent fly that won’t buzz off!
