I was given a number to contact the "Do Not Call" register, which can prevent unwanted calls. A woman claiming to be from Melbourne contacted me and requested cash for her children, which I believe is a scam. Shouldn't these people be reported to the "Do Not Call" register? They should receive a hefty fine for being so foolish.

It is evident that numerous individuals are receiving unwelcome and unsolicited calls from the individual associated with this number. My recommendation would be to address these calls by filing a report with your local police regarding menacing, harassing, and threatening phone calls, as such conduct is considered an offense under the Commonwealth Criminal Code.

An unintelligent person called once more today. He called three times, but only allowed the phone to ring twice or thrice. And when you rushed to pick up the phone, there was no one on the line. What a nuisance!

Throughout the day, this telephone number intermittently makes a few rings before abruptly ending the call. If you manage to answer the call, there is no one on the line. In the event of trying to return the call, occasionally you can leave a voicemail, but more often than not you receive a recording stating "Optus would like to inform you that this number is currently unavailable." It would be preferable if they ceased these persistent calls.
