I received similar text messages inquiring about a transaction and asking for a yes or no response. Being curious, I called the mobile number provided, but it was either switched off or out of range. Then, I tried calling the number that came with the text, but it went unanswered. Concerned, I checked my bank statement and discovered that a transaction had indeed been processed. Without delay, I contacted the bank, who not only canceled my card but also promised to investigate the fraud and refund the money.

I received a text message informing me that my card has been blocked by CommBank. The SMS includes the last four digits of my card, as well as the amount and the business name of my last declined transaction. While this seems suspicious, I find it concerning that they have information about my recent declined transaction. Within less than 30 minutes, I have received two text messages. I will wait and see if any further messages come through.

I received two text messages from this particular number. These messages claimed to be from CommBank and asked me to respond with a "yes" or "no" regarding a recent transaction. An individual who had access to my bank card number claimed to be from Commbank. Lying in wait, they attempted to deceive me into confirming a recent $500 transaction.
