This number keeps ringing me and its seriously annoying!

Whenever someone calls asking for me, I just say nicely that I'm a funeral director and I'm here to collect a body. It always does the job perfectly!

I got called three times in like five minutes by a man with an Indian accent who said his name was Barry. He claimed he was calling from Windows and that I had to do some kind of security check on my computer right away. Told him I was busy and couldn’t do it at the moment, but he just got rude and said, “Just do it now!” So I hung up. Then he rang me straight away again, and when I hung up a second time, he called right back once more. Proper annoying. He said he’d phone again after 6pm - really hope he doesn’t bother. 84 years old here.

Got a call from some bloke in India, total muppet.

This number rang me up sayin there was some sort of computer issue and that he was here to fix it. I just went along with it, told him my PC kept crashing and kept rebooting loads. He then said my machine has a serial code that monitors all the downtime and read out a long number, sayin it was my serial code. He mentioned he’d ring back in about half an hour. When he did, I told him the computer had finally given up and was off for repairs now lol. He didn’t sound too pleased, I reckon, ‘cause he just hung up. Scammers 0, Me 1. Well played!

Luckily, the voicemail took the call, so I dodged it this time. :-) Usually, if the number’s not saved in my contacts, I just let it keep ringing.

This number rang me up claiming my computer licence was about to be cancelled because my system had loads of errors and it was messing up Microsoft, even said it might crash soon. When I asked if it was for real or just some scam, they cut me off right away. Pretty sure it was dodgy!

Informed us that these individuals were required to offload our Millwall holding shares.

This number has buzzed me like four times over the past couple of days. The first call was this bloke trying to get me to sit at my computer. I told him nicely my computer was alright, then hung up. Barely two minutes later, the same fella phoned back - he was Asian - and when I told him to stop calling, he actually told me to shut my bloody mouth and listen! I gave him a bit of a piece of my mind and hung up. Now, they’ve called me twice again today. Honestly, it's starting to bother me quite a lot.

Even though I've blocked the number, they keep ringing me every now and then. When I checked on 1471, it shows the same number as the caller ID. We all know there are firms here in the UK that assist these callers from places like India or Sri Lanka to make cheap calls. I’m guessing it’s these companies who might also be selling lists of unlisted numbers or something like that. Might need to track down those folks instead.

I’ve put this number on my block list ages ago. If it’s not those Indian lot bothering you, the Irish ones come knocking instead. Honestly, pick your poison because these blokes just refuse to quit.

This is clearly a ruse from Windows, isn’t it? You might as well have a bit of a laugh with them while playing a bit thick. I’ll often pop them on loudspeaker and let them rant away while I dish out vague and clueless responses. You could even say you’ve got to dash off for a moment because your doorbell’s gone off and then make yourself a lovely cuppa. More often than not, those pesky scammers will still be on the line, waffling away. After a little while of them spinning their yarn, just hit them with the classic, “Oh, I use a Mac!” At that point, they tend to hang up real quick! They want to fill my time with nonsense? I’ll gladly return the favour! Have a giggle, but remember-never divulge any personal information!

This number kept ringing me and I was sure it was dodgy, so I told them not to ring back and just hung up. They didn’t give up though, kept ringing loads of times and I even let it go to voicemail a few times. When we finally picked up again, they started reading out this massive number - gave up trying to jot it down after about 25 digits! They said I could look it up and they’d ring again tomorrow, but I told them straight up to stop calling. They’d been phoning every week for a while but only stopped when I said we didn’t have a computer at all.

So yesterday, this woman named Shirley rang me up, saying there was an issue with my computer according to some reports her firm got. I was like, "Really? Am I supposed to catch a cold from that?". She said sorry, and I just ended the call straight away. Gotta say, I was quite impressed that I managed to find her number through 1471!

Received a rather peculiar call on my parents' phone the other day. The chap on the line insisted he wanted to discuss something about a computer. Since my folks were away, I mentioned there was no computer at home. He then claimed it was a laptop-presumably a lucky guess since they do own one. I kept insisting there was no computer, and to my astonishment, he wished death upon my wife! I had a chuckle since I’m not even married. Then he took it a step further and said he hoped my children would die too, which made me laugh again (as I have no children). He just wouldn’t quit, so I carried on laughing to annoy him further. Curiosity got the better of me, and I asked if he was in the UK. His response was a vehement disdain for us Brits. We went back and forth like this until he finally hung up, but I wasn't about to give him the pleasure of ending the call myself. What a nasty piece of work he was! I'd love to confront him in a dark alley one day. His English was quite articulate, though I’d wager he had a Pakistani accent (no offence meant; just my observation). I sincerely hope they’re recording these calls to work on their customer service skills! Honestly, the best outcome would be for him to lose his voice for good!

Got a call from someone with a strong foreign accent today, kept going on about my computer. They ring me no less than 10 times! I told them I’m on the TPS and asked them nicely to stop, but they just wouldn’t take the hint. Properly annoying how persistent they were.

Got a rude bloke from abroad calling me earlier. I had the phone on speaker, which wasn’t the best idea since my kids ended up hearing him threaten to ring me loads every day until midnight. I just had a laugh and hung up. Was quite shocked that I could even get his number by dialing 1471!

No idea who they are, really couldn’t care less. Honestly, just shoot em.

I usually get about five calls a week from someone looking for a Mr Tuxford. When I tell them no one by that name lives here, they often ask if I’m the homeowner. I once said yes by mistake - that was a bad move, won't happen again. Nowadays, I just say I’m renting. When that didn’t stop the calls, I resorted to blowing a whistle down the phone at them, pretty loud too! Probably gave someone a headache for ages. Just had a call earlier from someone overseas asking for a Tuxford. I said there’s no one here by that name, and he turned quite rude. I checked the company, but apparently it wasn’t a business, just a guy. He got even more aggressive… looks like next time he’s getting another blast from the whistle.

I've been getting loads of calls from them and they just won't stop. Sometimes there's no one on the line, other times they actually ask for me by name. They call at all hours, whether it’s day or night.

Got a call from someone saying they were from some PPI claim company. Sounded dodgy to me, just felt like another scam. I hung up right away, didn’t even bother with them. Be careful, loads of these people pretending to help but just trying to rip you off.

I had the exact same thing happen today. The guy rang me once, claiming to be a computer technician, and wanted to ask me some questions. I got a bit lost and just hung up. Not long after, he phoned again, and I ended the call straight away again. When he rang a third time, he rudely asked if I was “stupid or just ignorant.” I stayed calm and asked him politely to watch his language. That only made him worse - he started shouting insults at me and even dragged my mum into it. I asked if he even knew my mum, and he just got even more abusive. I told him not to ring me again and put the phone down. My dad tried returning the call but couldn’t get through. These types of calls really need to be cracked down on.

I got a call from this exact number but luckily I have call guardian so I never even heard my phone ring. After reading other folks comments on here I’m gonna block it now. I’ve had some dodgy calls before from people pretending to be Microsoft or Windows, trying to steal my info and get into my computer remotely. It’s proper annoying, no one needs all this hassle constantly!

Some bloke from abroad called, kept asking my name. When I told him not to call anymore and didn’t give it, he started getting really rude, saying he’s going to keep ringing me every single day. Then he just hung up on me.

There was complete silence on the other end, and then after a moment they just ended the call.

It was a bank holiday when I got a call from someone named Lisa, claiming there was a virus affecting our computer, said she was from 94 Victoria Street, London. I just let her go on blabbering for about 10 minutes before she suddenly ended the call.

I got a call from a woman saying there was a problem with my computer, but I told her no way as I work in IT. Then she went off on me, calling me a bloody liar and telling me to f*** off! So rude! These calls are total nonsense and someone needs to put a stop to them, hopefully the government will do something about it soon!

I got a call from this number, and before passing the phone to my elderly mother-in-law, I asked the caller which company he represented. Instead of answering politely, he told me to just get off the line in a really rude way.

Last week (10/4/2015) got this call and when I called back to warn him it was a scam, he actually rang me again. Seems like they're still at it.

Got a call from someone called Domonic claiming it was a 'survey.' I told him flat out that I don’t take cold calls and reminded him it's illegal. He kept talking over me, which was annoying. I don’t get why companies think it’s okay to ignore the law, especially since I’m ex-directory and on the TPS. Would never deal with a firm that doesn’t respect that.

It was really scary for my 3 and a half year old kid, no one answered the phone and she hates when people don’t even say anything. She was upset and cried for about 15 minutes straight. Absolute rubbish!

This number has called me multiple times every day - usually twice daily. When I pick up there’s no one there and they never leave a voicemail either. It’s really frustrating as I’m already on the TPS register.

Today, 17/06 at 14:23, I received a call on my landline from the number shown as 1471. I didn’t pick up, but I’m keen to report it as a pestering call.

Got a call claiming they wanted to check on my pension. I told them I haven't got one. They insisted I did though. I ended up telling them to either set one up or I’d track them down and shove their phone somewhere it doesn’t belong.

Somebody rang me about pensions the other day. I told them I don’t have one and asked where they had found my details. The guy, who had an American accent, said he’d pulled my info from some public stuff online. Bit strange if you ask me.

I got a call from 04048915588, but when I picked up, there was nothing, just silence. I tried looking it up on 1471 and it said, “Sorry, the last call came from a network that can’t send numbers.” Not sure how my phone still shows the number though, but I’m happy it does!

Got two calls from 04048915588 this morning. Both times, they said they were from PPI Reclaim. They seemed to have quite a bit of info about some of my past finances. When I asked where they were based, the guy first said North, then quickly changed it to East England. I then asked for their Company Registration number and he abruptly cut me off. A few minutes later, the same number buzzed again, but this time a woman answered. I asked for their office address and she told me her colleague was new and didn’t know it. Pressed again, she gave me "21 Castle Street, Romford, London." Problem is, that address doesn’t exist. When I asked for their postcode, she claimed it was confidential. Since they clearly had details about me, I insisted on the postcode, but she refused and went back to the PPI script. I cut her off and asked for the registration number again. She just said they were trying to help and I wasn’t interested, then hung up on me.

What a load of rubbish, just a bunch of time-wasting nonsense.

This is one of those Microsoft Windows con calls, and honestly you can mess about with them for a bit. I usually just put them on speaker and let them ramble while I give them silly, vague replies. Sometimes I tell them to hang on because the doorbell's ringing, then go off to make a cuppa. More often than not, they’re still there, those annoying scammers. I let them keep going with their nonsense before telling them I actually use a Mac. Usually, that’s enough for them to hang up straight away. They waste my time, so I waste theirs! Just have a bit of harmless fun, but be careful not to share any personal info.
