Got a call from someone in India saying they were from Sky, saying my broadband was being used without permission. They wanted me to log into my computer to 'check' a few things. I told them to ring me on my mobile since I wasn’t near my PC, guess what, never got a call back.

The number seemed off so I chose to ignore it. It’s now blocked on my phone. I’m on the telephone preference service, so why did this call get past?

This number just rang me up saying they were from BT. I told them I don’t even have internet, and they shouted before slamming the phone down haha!

Some bloke rang up pretending to be from BT, going on about my internet getting hacked and hackers doing all sorts of dodgy stuff on my account. His English was pretty shabby, not the kind of talk you'd expect from a proper company! He wanted me to log in to my internet, but there’s no way I fell for that.

Got a call from an Asian lady at 09:10 this morning, she started with the whole BT spiel, trying to get into my account and all that rubbish. I cut her off by joking, "Ahh, must be the 'Blizzard from the North', cheers then." Then I quickly blocked the number.

Got a missed call from this number earlier. Seriously, shouldn’t these annoying spam calls be blocked by phone companies pretty much straight after the first complaint? Why isn’t that happening?

I received a rather chatty bloke of Asian descent who introduced himself as Peter Parker-yes, like the superhero! He claimed to be from BT and insisted that my internet was compromised, urging me to switch on my laptop and provide him with some information. I played along for a moment but then decided to disconnect the call. Strangely enough, that same number buzzed my phone a total of five times after!

Just like the others have said, got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming to be from ‘BT’ about our internet. I told him we don’t use BT and he shouldn’t be ringing us. A few hours later he called back, but I didn’t pick up.

Got a bloke from BT with an Indian accent ringing me, threatening to disconnect my internet. I just hung up on him. Then he phoned right back, all angry asking why I’d hang up. Ended the call again straight away.

Received a rather peculiar call from this number today. A chap with an Indian accent rang me up, claiming to be from BT. He was quite apologetic, stating they were going to disconnect my landline and wanted to know if I was aware of this impending doom! Naturally, I suspected it was a ruse and promptly hung up on him. I attempted to file the number away on my 1572 blacklist, but it turns out this number isn’t recognised by their system at all. How odd!

Like others have said, they rang me around 9 in the morning. I wasn’t too polite and just slammed the phone down.

I set my answer machine to pick up after about four rings and it usually makes them stop. I don’t usually say anything, just let a recorded voice tell them goodbye. It’s pretty annoying though as they still keep ringing me back.

I just received a rather dodgy call from this number, claiming that my BT internet was being accessed by someone I didn’t know. I expressed my doubts about the legitimacy of the call, and suddenly, they just hung up on me! Pretty sketchy, if you ask me!

Said he was calling from BT. I shot back with a bit of verse, “The curfew tolls the knell of parting day.” Then he asked, “Do you have a computer?” So I went on, “The lowing herd winds slowly o’er the lea.” He repeats, “Do you have a computer?” After about five lines, he sounded annoyed. When I began, “And all the world a solemn stillness holds,” he hung up. Felt pretty good. Blocked now.

Totally a scam, someone rang saying they were from BT and that my internet was hacked. I humoured them for a bit before I lost interest. They wanted me to sign in to some website, which I didn’t do. They’ve called me back a couple of times, really won’t give up.

This morning around half past nine, I received a phone call from a woman with an unmistakable Indian accent. She urged me to switch on my computer, claiming there was an issue with my Internet and that someone was attempting to breach my security. I wasn’t keen on her spiel and attempted to decline, but she just wouldn’t take no for an answer. Now that I've had a chance to peruse the remarks from others, I’m really glad I hung up!

I had a right old run-in with this dodgy character. I'm fairly certain he hailed from India or somewhere similar-just the typical fare, you know. He tried to get me to download TeamViewer and follow his directions. Well, I wasn't having any of it! I ended up giving him a bit of a tongue-lashing, calling him a scam artist, to which he responded with some rather crude threats about what he'd like to do to me. Claimed he was working for BT, of all things! The number that flashed up was something like 04045, but last week I got a call from 0121098766. Just goes to show, the cheeky blighters are at it again!

Some bloke named George, who said he was from BT tech support, called me but his English was so bad I could barely get what he was saying. I told him BT wouldn’t hire someone with such poor language skills. Then he passed me to some supervisor called Jack. Jack went on about strange activity on my broadband and claimed hackers had taken control and would cause chaos. I told him I wasn’t bothered and snapped back that if anything bad happened, it’d be on me. Then I just ended the call.

Received a call at precisely 7:55 on Monday, 12th February, and again on Wednesday, 14th at 09:35. The first call I picked up, and an individual with an accent reminiscent of Indian origin introduced himself as a representative from BT, claiming there was an issue with my internet connection. He requested that I power up my computer, to which I replied that it was far too early for such inquiries and that I found his timing quite inappropriate. I informed him that I would reach out to BT myself, suspecting it to be a scam, at which point he promptly hung up on me!

I picked up and some guy with a thick Indian accent and awful English said he was calling about my internet with Fox. I told him I don’t have internet at all, and he just kept saying I must have because Fox sends bills every month. I’m actually with Sky for internet. It all sounded really fishy so I said again I don’t have internet, then he just ended the call.

Classic BT computer con job! This phone number is a total ruse. They’ll ring you up claiming, "We've had reports..." and then instruct you to fire up your computer. Ignore them! It's just an attempt to plant a virus on your device. Honestly, don’t hold back when it comes to calling these scammers out - it’s the best way to give them a taste of their own medicine!

I received a rather suspicious call purporting to be from BT, claiming there was an issue with my internet connection and threatening to cut off my service. Naturally, I didn't engage with them and promptly terminated the call without sharing any personal information. Following that, I reached out to BT directly, and they informed me that the number 04045 is indeed linked to fraudulent activity. I strongly advise against divulging any personal details to these callers or returning their calls. Stay safe!
