Some woman with an Indian accent rang saying she was from BT tech support and needed to check my internet connection. She asked when I last used the internet and then told me to sit by my computer. Whenever I tried to ask what was going on, she just kept repeating that they had to check the line. It was clearly dodgy so I just ended the call.

this number rang me earlier today - bet it's just another fake one like the usual scam calls. didn’t leave anything on my voicemail. it’s been pretty calm round here since november ended, but looks like these lot might be desperate for cash after the festive season and trying to make a quick buck again. no chance they’re getting anything off me. bunch of greedy scammers!

Got two calls from this number earlier, no one spoke but felt pretty dodgy. Definitely not ringin’ them back.

I answered and all I got was silence, then they just ended the call. Total waste of time.

My phone went off 3 or 4 times, I answered with a 'hello' twice but no reply, then they just cut off. When I got back to dial them, the number didn’t show up at all. This has happened multiple times in the last fortnight, but with different numbers each time. On the few occasions they did speak, they usually tell me there’s a problem with my internet or browser.

Honestly, it sounds a bit dodgy to me. I can't see BT doing their stuff in such a sloppy way. Without much proof of this call happening, I'm pretty doubtful. I'd say it's probably just complete rubbish.
