This number shows up as RBS customer support, but it’s clearly fake. Some bloke calling himself “Graham” said he was with the RBS fraud department. He claimed there were two suspicious transactions in the last 45 minutes. He mentioned a new biometric security thing called “blink ID” which I’ve never heard of and doesn’t exist. He even walked me through RBS’s website to ‘prove’ the number was legit. But when he said I needed my bank card and PIN generator, I got wary and ended the call. Rang RBS straight away and, as expected, it was all a scam.

When I confronted them, they completely lost their composure and resorted to using some truly vile language. It’s appalling how these scoundrels aim to exploit the vulnerable, including our dear pensioners. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour from the lowest of the low!

Got a call from someone claiming to be NatWest fraud dept. They wanted me to shut down my account and open a new one. Sounded really real. They tried to frighten me saying I'd been targeted by identity thieves and needed to do something straight away. They even knew my address. Took me about 30 minutes to figure out it was dodgy. Don’t ever share your details with these people.

Absolute scam from the bank! They called to tell me my account had been hacked and I had to move everything to a new account they claimed was ready, asking for payment too. It’s so annoying that my phone’s smart ID showed the caller as Royal Bank of Scotland - clearly a fake to trick people!

This number is definitely dodgy; the callers push you to move money into some other account. I went through it myself and ended up feeling really lost and upset. They acted like they were offering support, but it was all a trick to steal £999 from my account. Hang up straight away and get in touch with NatWest fraud team!

Earlier today, I received a rather odd call that originated from what seemed to be +4403457888444. The caller insisted I verify the number on the back of my debit card to confirm it belonged to NatWest. I complied, but he proceeded to ask an array of questions. Just as I was about to respond, the line cut off, and then I got another call-possibly from the same individual-that came from 03706000459. He mentioned he'd ring me back at around 8:00 PM since I wasn’t at home to provide all the details he was after. A quick online search revealed that this second number is flagged as a scam. I've been proper conned by these lot. They had details about my bank and even one of my account numbers, no idea how they got that info, but they tricked me big time. They sounded so official and convincing, I fell for it completely. Honestly, I’m shook right now. Do not pick up if this number calls you or you’ll end up losing loads. Don’t make the same mistake I did 😞

I got proper done over by these lot. Somehow they had my bank details and account number, no idea how they got hold of it, but they tricked me badly. The way they spoke was so convincing and professional, I fell for it completely. Left me shocked and gutted. Steer well clear of this number or you’ll end up losing a lot like I did. Trust me, don’t make the same mistake 😞

Got a call from this number claiming to be my bank. They told me money had been taken from my account in two big chunks. The person then asked some "security questions." She said she was calling from the number on the back of my bank card, but that wasn’t true. Surprisingly, she knew the last four digits of my card number. It all felt a bit dodgy. When I asked a few questions, she ended the call. I checked with my bank and they said they never tried to contact me. BE CAREFUL, THIS IS A SCAM!!!

Got a call from some bloke called Stuart pretending to be from Nat West. Said he was based in Birmingham and apparently he’s been ringing loads of people like this. Seems a few folks have shared his address online already and reported him. Fingers crossed they do something about it.

The caller claimed to be from the RBS fraud team. Very polished and convincing but I managed to completely confuse him by pretending I knew nothing, all the while checking the number. Turns out it’s linked to a car insurance scam, NatWest, RBS and basically not to be trusted. He rang me a couple of times which is why I picked up. Sounded like a nice, genuine young bloke. I ended by wishing him luck and telling him to find a proper job!

Really smooth and clever scammer, he even gave the phone number as proof to seem legit which made me look it up during the call and find out it was a con! The bloke on the phone was male. I got a call from a man with a Scottish accent claiming to be from RBS fraud team, but when I asked why it said NatWest on my caller ID, he said RBS now goes by that name. He said someone was trying to steal money from my account and needed me to do some steps. He asked for an IP address of the supposed fraudsters and wanted me to approve a transaction. I said no, and he then guided me through my mobile banking app and told me to call a number to confirm he was legit. Luckily, I rang the official RBS fraud line straight away and got them to freeze my accounts.

this was defo a scam, they said they were from rbs and claimed there was some weird stuff happening with my account. sounded real legit and they kept warning me not to end the call or else they wouldn't cover any money that got taken. they even pushed me to google the number they called from. once i put the rbs automated voice on speaker from another phone, they quickly ended the call.

these scammers really seem to have a lot of info about you. they call from numbers that look almost the same as ones you know, just to get you to pick up. they even use your name and seem to know when your online. honestly, privacy seems totally gone here in the UK. even when you vote, the forms say you’re a constituent, so info is out there. just let your answerphone pick up, if it’s legit they will leave a message, and you can ring back if you recognise the number.

someone called saying they were from the national westminster fraud prevention team in coventry - honestly, we had a good laugh straight away. they kept insisting there was loads of fraud on our account and that we’d opened our app. when we told them our bank would never phone us like that, they got really nasty, throwing insults at us. we ended up giving as good as we got. sounded like a bunch of kids too, loads of voices chatting in the background. steer clear, banks just don’t ring you about fraud in this way.
