That number is genuinely from NatWest, but these days scammers fake nearly every bank’s phone numbers. What I do is never trust calls straight away but don’t just brush them off either. Always hang up, make sure the call has ended properly, then ring your bank back on the number found on your card or paperwork. Following this routine could really help you avoid a lot of hassle!

I called this number to check some details on my NatWest Maestro credit card. Since the number was right on the back of my card, I figured it’d be alright to use. Seems secure enough to me.

I tried calling the number on the back of my credit card a few times, but it just rang out and no one picked up. Pretty sure it was NatWest's number though.

Was on the line for 12 minutes and 12 seconds, and it ended up costing me £3.12 plus VAT. Total waste of time!

BEWARE, this isn't Natwest! Loads of fake numbers going around - this one ain't real at all. If you’re unsure, just ring Natwest directly to check. Don’t get caught out!

So this number is actually the one on NatWest credit cards for any card-related questions. It’s really annoying that people have to pay through the nose for calls when they just want to sort out credit card stuff. They ought to clearly say it’s a premium rate line, and honestly, NatWest should offer a freephone number instead. It’s pretty unfair to charge customers extra just to get help.

I found this number on the back of my NatWest credit card to get in touch with them, but everytime I ring, it just says the line is busy and then disconnects. Quite odd, isn't it?

Got a text saying I needed to ring them about some credit card overpayment to sort out a refund. They even asked me to have my bank details on hand to give over. Pretty clear to me it was a total scam.

Got a call from some bot about a dodgy transaction on my debit card. It told me to press one if I wanted to stop the card. When I did, an Asian man came on the line asking what was wrong. I quickly ended the call and called my bank’s official number myself. Turns out, my card was fine with no suspicious activity. Total scam, be careful people!

Some random number called me with a lot of office background noise, kept going until I told them to stop, then it suddenly got silent. The only thing I caught was something like 'internet bad'. I told them I don’t have internet at all, and then they just hung up on me.

got a few calls from this number in the early hours, about 2.15am, like 4 times in a row. my phone is usually on silent overnight so i only noticed after i woke up. i looked it up on google and it seemed linked to natwest. i rang natwest to check and they told me they hadn’t tried calling me and everything seemed fine with my account. they mentioned scammers sometimes use legit numbers to trick people.

Got a call from NatWest, but just a heads up - I’m with Virgin Media and noticed my landline bill had an unexpected charge of more than £1 for a brief 3-minute call about a credit card query. You might wanna look for a free or lower-cost contact number instead.
