Back in 2019, this was indeed a legitimate contact number for Legal and General’s pension advice service known as “ReAssure.”

I've just had a look at my latest phone bill and it appears I've been charged twice for calling this number on 30th July 2019, with fees of £0.39 and £1.29 respectively. They’ve labelled it as a “Special Service.” Additionally, I've noticed a couple more “Special Service” calls listed: one to 0333 405 5555 on 6th September 2019 which set me back £1.59, and another to 0333 209 9628 on 11th July 2019 costing £0.54!
