I received a rather peculiar call from an individual who purported to be from the technical support team at BT. He insisted that my computer had been compromised and that I was in grave danger of a security breach. He urged me to power up my computer so he could guide me through a process to rectify the issue. I firmly informed him that I was experiencing no such troubles with my device. However, he became increasingly insistent as I maintained my stance against his claims. It didn't take long for me to realise that this was nothing more than a scam, so I promptly ended the conversation.
