Had a woman call me about some solar panels she wanted to sell. I told her I’m renting and can’t put any on the place. She sounded a bit surprised by that. I just ended the call with a quick goodbye. Not sure if it was legit or a sort of scam.

I usually dont pick up calls from numbers I dont recognize, and whenever I do, as soon as my voicemail kicks in, they just end the call.

Got calls from this number 6 times just yesterday and it's bugging me again this morning twice already. Each time, no one answers. It's really annoying and something needs to be done about it. I've made a complaint to Ofcom about it.

I've been getting calls nearly every day from an Asian bloke who asks for me using my maiden name. Since I've never lived here under that name, I just say no. Then he suddenly knows my current address and starts sounding a bit rude, so I just hang up. It’s really annoying.

Just got a call from a woman, sounded pretty rude and had an Asian accent, asking for some Mr CA... I asked her to be a bit clearer about which Mr CA she meant. She kinda snapped, like "what do you mean?" I tried to explain again, and then she goes on about "the one who's had an accident, isn’t that obvious?" Honestly, I just told her to buzz off and hung up. Made me laugh, proper cheeky!

Got a call from a bloke asking for someone who doesn’t live here anymore but shares the last name of an ex-flatmate. Said he was doing a survey, but when I told him no one with that name’s round here, he still had our address and wouldn’t say where he got it from. I told him to erase our info, asked his full name, he just said 'Andy', wouldn't give a surname or connect me to anyone higher up, then just cut me off.

I picked up and before I could even think, some bloke with a heavy Asian accent said he just needed to ask a few questions. When I asked who he was, he didn’t really answer and just went on. I ended up cutting him off and blocking the number. Just thought I’d share what happened.

Got a call from this number, the voice seemed to have a South Asian tone. I didn’t pick up, obviously.

They kept ringing me loads of times each day but never left a voice message. Eventually, I picked up and the caller was someone from India or Pakistan claiming to conduct a survey. They actually knew my full name and asked me to confirm the spelling of my middle name. I told them straight away that I wasn’t the person they thought I was, but they just brushed it off. I made it clear I didn’t want to take part in any survey, yet they just kept pressing on, ignoring me completely. In the end, I had to hang up as they just wouldn’t stop pestering. I’m signed up with the TPS, so I’ve reported this number.

I got a call from someone wanting me to do a phone survey, swearing she wasn’t trying to sell anything. I said I usually don't do phone surveys as a rule. She said it would be a great help, but I just kindly stuck to my guns. After that she just wished me a nice day and hung up.

Turns out being ex-directory and on the telephone preference service doesn’t seem to stop this at all.

I picked up without really thinking since we've got caller ID, but after me saying "hello" a few times, the call just dropped. Definitely one of those annoying nuisance calls, even though our number is ex-directory - feels like that’s pointless now. We even get calls from withheld numbers, which we've already banned!
