So, there was this caller who initially contacted a different Trustee, who then redirected me to deal with it. I decided to return the call and encountered a rather elaborate menu system. After selecting the correct option, I was connected with an individual who claimed to represent the security team at Bank of Scotland. He proceeded to ask me various questions to verify my identity and then informed me about an unauthorised access attempt originating from the UAE on an account I’m somehow linked to. However, when I reached out to my local BoS branch, they didn’t acknowledge the number from which I received that call, so I chose not to engage further.
