Some woman rang me asking about a car crash. I was already in a bad mood and told her to just buzz off. She told me I shouldn't say stuff like that, and I told her she shouldn't be wasting time bothering folks about crashes that never happened. Then she just hung up.

I overheard a conversation that clearly wasn’t directed at me, but I certainly caught some choice language being tossed about.

Got a call about a crash they said I was in over the past couple years. I never had one. When I said so and asked what report they wanted, she got quite nasty and just ended the call. Woman with a Merseyside accent - steer clear!

I've been receiving incessant calls from this number, and my McAfee software keeps flagging it as a potential scam or fraudulent activity. It's quite bothersome, to say the least!

A woman from Liverpool called me from Direct Response UK, and she kept struggling to say my name right. She was asking about some damage to a car from a couple of years ago. I told her that wasn’t true and asked why she was ringing me. All she did was keep going over the company name and banging on about the supposed car damage. It was obvious she was reading from a script in a hectic call centre. I asked her to take my number off their list.

Some woman called me saying it was about some damage to my car from the past couple years. I just put her on mute and listened in for a bit, then she goes "he's clearly wasting our time" and hung up lol.

Got a call from a woman with an English accent, asking if I'd been in any car crashes over the last two and a half years. I asked if she was calling on behalf of my insurance, and she claimed she worked for a legit company. Told her to take my info off their list, and as I ended the call, I swear I heard her mutter that I was being silly.

Got a woman with a scouse accent calling about some injury claim. Told her to please remove my number from their list. Had to say it twice, but she then said I'd keep getting calls unless I gave them answers. Seriously, unless they’re torturing me or something, that ain’t happening lol. If blocking don’t do the trick and she calls again, I reckon I’ll start chatting about my hubby’s Crohn’s and all the grim details. Bet that’ll put her off for good!

got a call from these folks yesterday, when i tried to ring back it said the number wasn't real, then they rang again today saying i'd been in an accident sometime in the last couple of years and then asked if i'd ever been on a package holiday, really sketchy stuff!

Like mentioned, the caller said they were from Direct Response UK; they told me I have call preferencing and were on the verge of filing a complaint; I asked for her details but she wouldn’t provide them, instead just kept saying they work with "multiple" insurance firms.

Got a call from a lady speaking with a Scouse accent, asking for me by name but kinda struggling to say it right! When I asked what the call was about, she just wouldn’t say unless I confirmed who I was. I wasn’t about to give my details before knowing why she was calling, so it didn’t go anywhere and she ended the call. They also rang yesterday, but I let it go to voicemail.

Got a call from someone about an insurance claim, but they kept using loads of confusing words that didn’t really make sense. Felt like they were trying to trick me into something, especially if I’d recently been in a crash. Proper dodgy tactic if you ask me.

I have no clue what they're playing at, I picked up and they just cut me off. Absolutely rubbish at what they do. I'm proper annoyed coz my number isn't listed anywhere, so how on earth did they get hold of it? Someone musta sold it!

Got a call around 6.15pm from a woman who spoke English and asked for me by name. She quickly moved into questions about accidents. I told her I wasn’t interested in anything they were selling, but she said she’d just get another person to try calling me. I warned her I’d report them to Ofcom if they rang again, but she just kept going on as I ended the call. What a cheek!

Got a call from this number but since it wasnt saved in my contacts, I ignored it. No voicemail was left either, even though my phone always prompts messages if the caller doesnt pick up. The 0345 area code made me even more wary. I looked them up online and found out its exactly what I expected from reading here. Gonna block the number straight away. Cheers to everyone here for the info. Seeing how common these calls are, it’d be great if we could all put some pressure on these annoying callers.

Really dodgy call, a lady spoke with a British accent and kept insisting that I’d been in some accident. She said the details came from the British Insurance Bureau but couldn’t say when or where or what car was involved, claiming it was due to data protection. She just kept pushing me for info, felt like a real insult to my smarts.
