Be careful, this is a total scam! I’ve never had any insurance with them, yet they sent me a message saying there's a claim from someone else saying my car was in an accident on 4th Jan 2026. They want me to ring them at 0345 835 1227 urgently to talk it out. Don’t fall for it!

Got a couple of emails that looked like they were from Churchill Motor Claims. One even had a letter attached saying there was a claim against my car from 7 February 2025. Totally not true and seemed fishy, so I’m really glad I bothered to look up the number first. Definitely a scam!

Just had a call from an Indian bloke who left a message saying he was from Churchill insurance. It felt a bit off, especially as I’d just been in a car crash and thought it might be genuine. I got an email and a text telling me to call this phone number about something that supposedly happened on 6 January this year. They claim I was part of some incident, but that’s not right at all. When I reached out to my insurance company, they confirmed there’s a claim filed against me.

It’s been a right struggle trying to speak to the correct person to get the facts straight. It’s little comfort to hear that these kinds of scams happen quite often.

I reckon this might be connected to Direct Line and probably isn’t a scam. If you want to check, just call a legit number from their website and see if this one is linked to their car claims team.

Got a text from an Indian woman asking me to call her back, but I didn’t bother. A few days later, I received a letter claiming there was an accident involving my car from way back in February. I have no clue what it’s about. When I looked up their phone number, I found loads of bad reviews, so I just decided to leave it be. The letter seemed pretty official though!

Got a letter from Direct Line about a car accident, and this number was on it. I rang the main customer service, gave them the reference from the letter, and they confirmed it was a legit Direct Line reference. So, I'm pretty sure this phone number is linked to Direct Line.

I got a call from some insurance firm (can’t really tell which one, the message was all garbled) that left a voicemail for me personally, asking me to ring them back. When I called the number they left - 03458351227 - it just went to a claims line and told me I was in a queue for roughly 4 or 5 minutes. Since I’m not currently dealing with any claims, I just ended the call.
