Got a call from someone saying they were Royal Mail, telling me I had an Amazon delivery waiting in London and I needed to pay £1.55 for unpaid postage. They sent me to a website with all my info already filled out, then tried to make me go through a checkout that was asking for a whopping £6305! Got a call claiming to be from Royal Mail, gave my full name so it sounded legit, but when I said yes, they suddenly cut off. Then when I tried ringing back, it charged me £1 since it’s some dodgy number. These nasty scammers are just getting fat off people and nobody seems to be doing anything to stop it. I’d happily pay a grand a year to catch these muppets and the ones helping them, lock them up and make ’em suffer the way we do.

A woman called, used my name and asked me to verify it, which I did. She claimed to be from Royal Mail and said I had a parcel waiting at the depot. She asked if I was happy to listen to instructions to collect it, then just ended the call! I haven't gotten any text message like some folks mentioned, but if one comes through, I'll definitely ignore and delete it!

A woman rang claiming to be from Royal Mail, but I found it hard to catch everything because of her accent. I’m not expecting any deliveries. She mentioned my parcel was in Northolt (I live in West Sussex) and said she’d send me a link to sort out the delivery. I told her I’m wary of links from calls or messages and she insisted it was legit, blaming delays on the strike. I told her that if they’ve got my parcel, they must have the right address, so just deliver it and I won’t be clicking anything. She ended the call abruptly but still sent me a text afterwards.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent who kept messing up my name, saying I had a parcel to be delivered and asking if I wanted details on the delivery. I told her I wasn’t expecting anything, and she said it might be a surprise gift, calling me sir before quickly switching to miss. Just like loads of folks, it was a woman with an Indian accent saying there’s a parcel at the sorting centre. When I picked up, there was loads of noise in the back, sounded kinda like morse code or something haha. I said I wasn’t waiting on any parcel, she goes “maybe it’s sent by someone you don’t know.” Then I said “well, I could be chatting to someone I don’t know right now,” and yep, she just hung up straight away.

Received a message claiming that a sizeable Royal Mail parcel, containing three or more items, was awaiting collection. They mentioned sending me an SMS with a redelivery code. The catch? Supposedly, the parcel was sitting in a delivery office located a whopping 100 miles from where I reside. I had asked for an email notification instead, which raised my eyebrows a bit; the message mentioned I was supposedly searching for a number on their official site. When I decided to look up the number myself, it turned out to be linked to India, and then, lo and behold, the call just cut off! Quite the dodgy situation, if you ask me!

This number is legit, not a scam itself. But the person calling might be a scammer pretending to be from this number. If you get a call from it, make sure you ask the caller the questions, don’t just listen. Then hang up and check the Royal Mail website to see if they mention anything like what the call was about. Sometimes it could be real - maybe you’ve got a parcel and need to pay a bit extra for delivery. Or it could be a con artist trying to get your bank info for fake charges on a parcel that isn’t real. The safest way is to check before giving out any details.

I received a call regarding a parcel, and they inquired if I wanted to receive some guidance on how to pick it up. Upon probing about the nature of the parcel, they abruptly ended the call. It was astonishing that they even had my name! Honestly, it’s outrageous; these individuals deserve a serious reprimand or even worse. I'm relieved I don't have any banking information stored on my phone because this screams scam to me!

Some lady calling herself Rachel said she had a parcel for me in Highbury, North London. She said I’d already paid £13 for shipping but needed to pay another £1.55 to get it released. I don’t know anyone in Highbury and I’m not interested in random parcels from North London, so I told her to bugger off and ended the call. These scammers really need to be stopped.
