Got a call from 0345 734 5555, some bloke saying he was from the fraud team, telling me there was suspicious stuff happening on my account. He tried to check my details, asking for my date of birth, but I refused. Then, and this is the hilarious part, he said he’d send me a text so I’d know who I was talking to! I laughed and said that wouldn’t change anything. Next thing, he just hung up. I rang my bank straight away and they told me they’d never send texts like that and confirmed it was a scam. Watch out - they even knew my name!

I got a call from someone claiming to be my bank, but it was totally dodgy. A few weeks ago, I had an issue with an online bookshop that turned out to be a scam, so I already cancelled my debit card and got a new one. That’s why I knew right away this call was another fraud attempt.

Watch out, this is definitely a con. They claim to be from your bank and sound really convincing. They’ll try to get you to confirm stuff using your pin sentry, which legit banks never ask for. When I requested verification through the official app, they insisted the pin sentry was safer.

Even though I was uneasy, I stupidly followed their instructions and handed over a code. That gave them access to my banking app and they started making transactions. Luckily, I ended the call quickly and rang my bank straight away. They managed to freeze everything, blocked their devices and sent me new cards.

Be super careful and don’t share any codes or personal info. I almost got scammed out of £5,000.

This was a dodgy phone number used by scammers claiming to be from my bank. They sounded so convincing and even knew the last four numbers of my card. Stay cautious, people!

This was definitely a scam! They had almost all my bank info. I was told banks don’t ring you up like that. The best thing to do if this happens is to contact your bank right away, block your card, and update all your online banking details. My bank confirmed they never made that call, so be careful out there!

I got a call from someone saying they were from my bank and talking about some security issues. They even knew my name, my address, and the last few digits of my account number, which freaked me out a bit.
