I’ve gotten loads of calls from these lot, like seven in the past couple of weeks, saying they’re from Virgin Money or Clydesdale Bank Fraud Dept. One time, they even rang me at midnight! I shouted at them to stop bothering me since my bank never calls me at all, but they just keep ringing anyway. Proper annoying.

I got a call from 03457204030 claiming to be Halifax bank. He said he knew the last three numbers of my account, which I ended up confirming. Then he told me someone tried to withdraw £900. I just laughed and mentioned I’d already been to the bank and cancelled my card. When I said I didn’t want to discuss it on the phone, the bloke just cut the call off.

Scammers for sure! They told me my bank account was being hit by fake transactions and told me to move my money to a new account they gave me. Never fall for it, it’s a total trap!
