These con artists targeting older folks is just terrible.

I got a phone call from someone saying they were from Lloyds Bank’s Fraud Department. There were two folks on the line at different times, both sounded like they were Scottish. They put me on hold a lot and asked loads of questions. Then they told me to pop down to a police station in Glasgow since apparently they’re dealing with the fraud stuff there. Felt a bit dodgy to me, so I’m planning to ring my bank to make sure.

I had a go today and received a call from a woman with a rather persuasive Scottish accent. She kept insisting that I should ring this number back right away.

Absolutely, I've received a similar message as well. This method is known as Smishing, where they cleverly disguise their actual number to look like it’s coming from the bank. Quite sneaky, isn't it?

I've just received a message from the number 03456804526. I suggest you don't engage with them-perhaps even consider blocking the number. Alternatively, you could ring them back for a laugh and give them a taste of their own medicine!

Got a call claiming to be from HSBC fraud department, but after checking with the bank, turns out they were just a bunch of scammers. Avoid them!

Be warned, this number is linked to a deceitful scam. I received a message claiming, "We’ve detected unusual activity on your account, please call 03456804526." However, when I called, they were completely unable to identify the bank they supposedly represented, even though it was mentioned in the text I received. I pressed them to confirm which bank they were affiliated with, and rather suspiciously, they just hung up on me. Curiously, the message even appeared to come from my actual bank's number. How on earth do they manage that?
