I received a call on my mobile a couple of days back, which I’ve since blocked. Now, they've managed to ring my landline, insisting they’re from HSBC. It makes me wonder how they've managed to obtain both my numbers!

Received a call today from someone with an Indian accent, and I didn't hold back, suggesting he ought to find a legitimate way to earn a living instead of attempting to con hard-working individuals. His response was rather cheeky; he acknowledged my irritation, saying something along the lines of “I get that you’re not a fan of being contacted.” Good grief! I really hope no one gets duped by these scammers.

They said they were from HSBC. I asked them to just drop me an email or message through the online banking instead, but I never got anything. When they rang me again about a week later, I didn’t pick up.
