Got a call from this number earlier but missed it, so I rang back. It turned out to be FedEx, but I couldn’t get through to a real person because it was just a virtual assistant on the other end. If this is what their customer service is like, I can’t imagine how frustrating it must be to sort out any issues with them. Dealing with these automated systems is so annoying! Got a voicemail from some bloke saying he was with FedEx, called himself Patrick. He mentioned a parcel from Italy with a tracking number like 551962457 and asked me to pay £220.31 for customs fees to some dodgy address I couldn’t quite hear. I didn’t know anything about any delivery and it sounded really fishy, so I just ignored it. Feels like a total scam if you ask me.

I’m not expecting any overseas deliveries at all, so I’m just gonna leave it. I had almost the same thing happen on my wife’s phone. I picked up and the caller was talking in Mandarin, asking for “Mrs Zhang” - which is actually my wife’s name and she’s Chinese. But when I replied in English asking who it was, they just cut the call. Seems dodgy to me, couldn’t be a real FedEx call.

The number +44 345 607 0809 showed up as FedEx when I googled it later. But that can’t be right because the person spoke Mandarin Chinese at the start. I answered the call cos I had the “Whoscall” app on my phone, and it showed “Whoscall: FedEx” before I picked up. But if it was really someone clever from FedEx, why would they hang up straight away when I asked "who's calling" in English?! Seems like these scammers are using tech to fake the caller ID too. Not everyone who gets a call like this actually owes FedEx money, like some comments here say, so watch out!

someone rang me pretending to be from fedex saying my package wasn’t delivered because the recipient hadn’t paid customs fees. they asked for my full bank info so they could take the customs charges from my account. turns out the whole thing was a load of rubbish since the recipient had already paid and got the parcel. i even have the customs receipt to prove it. definitely a scam and i nearly got caught out. really suspicious call, watch out!

Beware of this firm! They rang my home line while I was at work yesterday, and my parents picked up. They mentioned my full name and claimed there was a parcel waiting for me, but they needed my number to inform me about the delivery. They even asked for my mum's number, just in case I wasn't around. Unfortunately, my parents were taken in and ended up providing both mobile contacts. This morning, I noticed a missed call from my mum; when I texted to check, she said she hadn’t called. Later on, she saw another missed call supposedly from me and was puzzled. I hadn't reached out at all! Then she received another call that she answered, and the caller, who said he was from the police, insisted I was in serious trouble. Naturally, she hung up immediately. What's disconcerting is that when they ring me, it appears as though it's my mum’s name and number, and vice versa when I try to return the call. This is an exceptionally crafty scam, so stay vigilant and don’t get caught out!

I’ve received calls on my landline from this number on two occasions, once yesterday and again today, claiming there’s a parcel waiting for me. Since I’m out at work during the day, it’s my mum who’s been answering the phone. Both times, they’ve inquired about my personal details and whether I'm married or single, which seems utterly irrelevant to a parcel delivery! I need to have this investigated as soon as possible!

I’ve just had a phone call as well. Some bloke was asking for my sister’s number to drop off a package. I told him no, he should already have that information. He then began to hurl abuse at me! Yesterday afternoon, we received two phone calls that raised quite a few eyebrows. On both occasions, it was a woman on the line claiming to represent UPS. She was adamant about needing to deliver an important parcel and requested my son’s mobile number first, then mine during the second call. When I probed about the sender and the contents, they claimed it was some documents and named an individual I’ve never encountered before. I’ve recently had a rather troubling experience with this number, which seems to have added an unjustified duty tax charge. According to the guidelines, items that come from overseas and are priced under £135 should be free of such taxes. However, they hiked up the cost of my purchase to include a spurious duty tax. To top it off, the rules state that one should receive a notification before the parcel is delivered, but I only got the letter after it had arrived. Furthermore, it’s my understanding that if the duty tax isn’t settled, the package is supposed to be sent back. It’s rather outrageous that anyone can impose charges without consulting you first. It all felt incredibly deceptive. There’s plenty of information regarding duty tax available online, and none of this seems right at all.
