Other Numbers
They said they were calling from Lloyds but I double checked with Lloyds directly because something felt off, and turns out they were fakes.
I managed to speak with someone from Lloyds customer support, who told me it was a scammer using a fake number pretending to be from their fraud team.
They asked stuff like:
- details of a recent transaction
- the balance in my account
- how many accounts I hold with them
Then they said my account had been compromised through a 'Samsung or similar gadget', which made me suspicious and I quickly ended the call. If you ring the number again, it plays exactly the same recordings as the official Lloyds phone system.
I reckon this 0345-6066529 number is dodgy. I haven’t called it because I’m pretty sure it’s just some scammer trying to trick me!
