if you’re already signed up with the tps, do everyone a favour and report any live calls to the ico, and for silent or dropped calls, pass them on to ofcom. honestly, after a few folks have said the caller is a scammer or spammer, adding more comments here doesn’t really help. the best thing you can do is report the number to the proper authorities so they might actually take action and stop these nuisance calls. these spam callers aren’t bothered by posts online, but they definitely notice when ofcom or ico get involved - and makin’ those reports only takes a few mins.

Someones calling me saying theyre from HSBC bank? Honestly, not convinced it’s legit. They sent a letter saying I’m owed some PPI refund and asked for my bank details to pay me back. I said I wanted a cheque instead. I even went down to my local branch and they checked their system but found nothing there. I wondered if maybe my ex husband had claimed the PPI since the accounts are in both our names. But after what the bank told me, I reckon it’s a scam. Should I report this to the bank or the police? Seems like these scammers should be stopped somehow.
