I received a staggering eight fraudulent messages within the span of just a week, from 1st November to 6th November 2021. The times were all quite close together, at around 16:51, 16:53, 16:55, 16:56, 17:00, 17:12, and 17:32.
On Monday the 1st of November at 12:06, I got a peculiar message from 03456020000 or 441132798302, suggesting I set up a beneficiary, which awkwardly asked for the last four digits of my bank account.
Then, on the 6th of November, I received another message indicating I should expect a notification from Halifax regarding some recent activity on my Visa card, hilariously specifying the last four digits.
That same day, I got yet another text, this time providing a password code, 509353, supposedly related to a purchase amounting to £236.95, along with the last four digits of my Visa card. There were several other scammers, all sending similar messages from different numbers. Thankfully, after a phone call with my bank, I managed to sort out the mess.
