I got a call from someone claiming there was a sketchy transaction on my account. They told me to open my banking app and share a code with them. The code, as it turned out, was supposed to link another phone app so they could supposedly stop the payment. Watch out though, they also started naming other bank accounts I supposedly had, saying they needed to alert those banks too. Definitely seemed dodgy to me!

Somebody claiming to be from my bank rang me up, used my name, and mentioned a recent withdrawal of £18 from my account in Manchester. Then she tried to get me to share a code from my banking app so she could get in. I calmly told her to jog on.
