Pretending to be first direct bank, asking to confirm a refund through the app - was actually a pending transaction for £1k that I needed to "confirm". Blocked and reported.

I got a call from this number where someone said they were from my bank’s fraud division. They mentioned it was a follow-up to an earlier call from a private number about some dodgy charges on my credit card. Honestly, they were pretty clever trying to trick me into moving money to a different bank account. I'd honestly advise against picking up if it’s from this number.

Got a call from someone saying they were from my bank, telling me there was some dodgy activity and asking if I’d made payments to British Gas and Tesco Mobile. I played along and said yeah, I had (which wasn’t true) and then they just hung up on me. I called my bank straight away and they said nobody had contacted me and everything was fine. The caller spoke with a British accent, which felt a bit off. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.
