Avoid responding and just block this number. Initially, I chose not to pick up when they called, but they rang me again right away, and curiosity got the better of me. They claimed to be from Lloyds Bank, stating that my card had been used for a transaction with Virgin amounting to over £400. The whole conversation felt off; it wasn’t conducted in a proper manner at all. So, I decided to hang up, and they called me back again straight away - that’s when I took the step to block the number.

I received a call from someone posing as Lloyds, claiming they had cloned my card. They requested that I verify a six-digit code to halt a payment. Meanwhile, I was getting a text from Lloyds Bank confirming the transaction. Quite the dodgy scenario, I must say!
