Right when I got an alert from my bank about some dodgy transactions on my account, this number rang me. What a coincidence, eh? Check out what I wrote earlier about it.

Some bloke rang me claiming to be from my bank’s fraud team, saying my credit card had been nicked and they’d cancelled it and were sending a replacement. They then tried to get me to set up Apple Pay on the new card, asking for a code that’d be sent by text. Thing is, I still had my card, so they must’ve got into some website where I’d used it. To actually use the card though, you’d need that code sent to the phone. I told them to jog on straight away and cancelled the card just to be safe. Next day, I get the exact same call but from another number! It boggles my mind that the police can’t trace these idiots since the phone company has to have some info on who signs up for numbers like that.
