Been getting nonstop scam calls all the time to my 97 year old dad, it's really frustrating.

Thank god sis didn’t pick up the phone.

Dodgy call, said they were from o2 but I’ve never even had o2 before. No way it’s time for any upgrade then.

My mum received a call from this number since she manages my phone contract. She rang o2’s customer support and they told her it’s a shop based in Tooting. Sounds like a genuine number, but they can be quite persistent - I’ve already had two calls from them in just two days!

Answered the call but they just hung up right away. Turns out they say they're with O2, but they really aren't. You can buy phones off them, but if anything goes wrong, O2 won’t help you out. Any good reviews about this number look like they’re written by the scammers themselves. Definitely stay clear.

didn’t pick up. cheers for having this site, really helpful!

This is actually an O2 franchise, not O2 themselves. If you go through them for an upgrade, you won’t get any support from O2 directly.

just ignore this number, its pointless answering.

They keep ringing me. I never pick up if it's an unexpected call, especially from an 0345 number. Glad I found this site, now I'm sure I won't be answering them.

someone pretending to be 02 telling me my contract’s nearly up, but i just renewed it last month so ended the call quickly. total scammer.

It’s just O2, my phone’s upgrade is coming up so it should be fine.

I keep getting alerts about missed calls from this number but my phone never actually rings. This only began after my 2 year contract with O2 ended. I even upgraded straight through O2, so I’m not sure why they’re still trying to call me.

scam, its one of those O2 franchises, not O2 itself. If you try to upgrade with them, O2 won’t back you up. Proper dodgy lot, honestly.

I recently switched my phone contract to O2 and then this number called me a couple of days after. When I picked up, there was no one on the line at all.

i got a call on my phone and then later went to an o2 shop to upgrade. now they're saying i already upgraded in one of their stores - but ive never even stepped foot in any of them??? ive clearly been scammed and o2 are refusing to do anything about it.

A bothersome robocall, completely unnecessary.

Since I switched from O2, this number keeps ringing me non stop. Had to block it and even report it. They said something about an O2 service call but when I answered the first time, it was just a quick "do you have an O2 account?" and then they just ended the call after like 4 seconds. No clue what they were trying to do but it was pointless.

I keep receiving calls on my mobile at roughly 11 in the morning each day. The phone rings a couple of times before it abruptly disconnects.

There’s a call centre in Tooting that rings up to pitch better deals or renew contracts. I’ve never had any issues with them, and they’ve sorted out upgrades for all five of my phone numbers every single year.

Got a call from this number again but didnt bother answering coz last time they rang askin for someone who aint even here. Its mad how they keep getting mixed up, youd think theyd just take my number off their list by now.
8 years
They said they were from 02 but sounded pretty unsure. Didn’t even know if they were supposed to be speaking to a man or a woman, just had the first initial and last name. The info they gave me about my contract was totally off, and when I corrected them, they acted like I was the one who was wrong. Then they asked for my full name and address, which I declined to give, and after that, she got really tetchy.

Got a call earlier today claiming to be o2 about upgrading my contract. When I double checked with o2, they confirmed it was indeed their legit customer service line for upgrades. I called o2 back on their official 202 customer service number to be sure.

For sure a scam, they wanted me to verify my info but when I asked them to prove they were from o2, they got really rude. To me, it's a scam so I've blocked them straight away.

This number has been calling me every few days for quite a while now. I don’t pick up since I don’t recognise it, and I reckon it’s probably a scam. Unlike some others have said, they haven’t sent any messages. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Bit odd, my phone don’t actually ring when this number tries to get through, it just shows a notification saying I missed a call from them. No clue who they are or why they called.

If it’s O2, I have no clue why they’re ringing me up since I only signed up 9 months ago, so my upgrade won’t be due until next year anyway.

Said they were from o2. Got a recorded message saying it wasnt urgent but no one was free to chat right then. They said they'd ring me back or I could phone them instead. These sorts of company scams just keep getting worse.

Not meaning to sound rude, but that didn’t really come across as the “O2 Technical” team to me! That’s what the fella from India claimed though.

This is a legit number, it’s from O2’s call centre.

They said they were from O2, but when I called O2 on 202 from my phone, they couldn’t confirm if the number was actually theirs, just said it might be one of their partners. The message said "as soon as possible" which made it seem like there was an urgent issue with my account. If this was a marketing ploy, using scare tactics to make you ring back feels borderline harassing to me. If I discover that O2 are letting messages like this go out with "O2 UK" showing as the sender, I’m definitely reporting it to Ofcom.

This seems legit. I got a message from this number and, just to be sure, I phoned O2 at the 202 number. The person I spoke to actually called the number back and said it was definitely O2 customer service for upgrades and stuff.

Terrible call, some woman with an Asian accent tried to chat about my 02 contract but I wasn’t convinced so I just hung up. Then I got a text straight after saying it was urgent to call back. Definitely blocking this number now.

Received a message claiming to be from O2 customer support asking me to get in touch with this number, said they been trying to reach me for ages. I phoned 202 and they told me they never sent any text asking to call 'please contact O2 about your account asap on 03454501502'. My contract ended, so I called the real O2 line, not these 0345 ones. When I called that number, I only got a looping waiting tune, no one picked up. Definitely a scam call.

Got a strange text from this number back on 30 Nov 2017. They said they're with O2 but didn’t explain why I should call them right away on 0345 450 1502. Seems fishy to me. Definitely a scam. Best to block and stay clear.

Got a text telling me to ring urgently from 0345 450 1502 or 023 640 9025 claiming to be O2. I checked with O2 using my own account and they said those numbers have nothing to do with them. So I didn't call the numbers shown - 0345 450 1502 or 0203 640 9025 - coz they could charge loads or even be trying to steal info. My phone’s now set to block them as they’re definitely not legit. To me, this is outright FRAUD.

This number rang me just last week. Seems like it’s from those folks who contact you when your contract’s about to finish. I was a bit wary at the start but they mentioned exactly what I upgraded to before and had all my info. Ended up getting the upgrade today and everything’s spot on. Pretty relieved it wasn’t a scam!

This was an O2 call centre contacting for upgrades. I rang 202 to check and asked them to confirm. The folks at 202 phoned them back and confirmed it was all genuine. Got the documents today and everything seems alright, so this number is alright to trust.

I got a call from this number but it went straight to voicemail and the message asked me to call back on this number or 0203 6409023l. Felt a bit dodgy so I rang back from another phone and both lines had the same recorded message saying it was O2 and the line was busy, so I was put in a queue. It didn’t seem legit, so I rang O2’s official customer service and they said those numbers aren’t connected to them at all. They’ve now added a warning to my account. Watch out, this definitely seems like a scam!

I had an encounter with a call centre claiming to be O2, and initially, I was a bit wary. It seems they get in touch via calls and texts when your contract reaches its conclusion. Just to be on the safe side, I reached out to customer support, and they assured me that it’s all above board. So, I guess the caller was indeed O2 after all!
