I'm convinced this is a dodgy scam call - and lo and behold, they disconnected the line! 👏Barclays3 yearsWhat a complete con! I received a call purporting to be from Barclays/Barclaycard, warning me about an apparently suspicious transaction on my account. They had a surprising amount of info about me-my mobile number, name, address, as well as the last four digits of my card and its expiration date. In order to ‘verify’ that I had the card on hand, they insisted I provide a code from PINSentry or the OTP that was sent to my phone. They were incredibly convincing, insisting that if I didn’t comply, a significant transaction would go through and I could end up out of pocket. I firmly declined and later checked with the official customer service, who assured me that they did not initiate that call and would never request an OTP or anything of the sort. Beware of this scam!
