Without a doubt, this number is an automated line from Tesco Bank. I got a call super early today and felt a bit iffy about it, so I ended the call as soon as a robot voice asked for my birthdate. Seems like Tesco Bank is calling about some unpaid bill for a card that isn’t even mine. That card is actually covered by an IVA deal, and payments go through a third party who told all creditors to get in touch with them only. Tesco Bank, like a lot of store cards, are using pushy tactics but if you have an IVA, just disregard any messages from creditors. The company handling the IVA is the only one you should deal with since this is all legally sorted.

Seems like they try to spot people having money problems early on. I complained to their Customer Service about feeling harassed and had a long chat. They didn’t admit it was harassment, but maybe they understand there could be nicer ways to handle it - though I wouldn’t get my hopes up. To me, it’s still harassment, and with so many spam calls about, they really ought to improve their approach.

This number rings me loads on both my landline and mobile, all about some Tesco Credit Card thing. My mobile flags it as spam so I don’t pick up. Feels like a scam to me. I told Tesco about it but no idea if they'll sort it out. What bugs me is how they got both my numbers - they call one, and if I don’t answer, they’re straight on the other.

This number has been ringing my home phone over and over for the past few days. My answerphone picks up, but they never bother to leave any message. It’s really annoying! The only real solution seems to be taking legal steps and imposing big fines, but I doubt any official body with the power to do that actually gives a damn.

Got a call from Tesco bank, and when I rang back, they said it was about checking a weird purchase, so it seemed genuine. But I reckon some scammers could’ve faked the number to seem like Tesco Bank, so watch out. That might explain why there’s mixed stuff being said around here.

I got calls from this number a few times, saying it was about my Tesco credit card. When I came back from holiday, I found a letter saying I'd missed a payment. So I paid it and rang their customer service, who confirmed it was them who’d been calling. If you don’t have a Tesco bank card, I’d still suggest contacting their support to check. They were really helpful and brilliant on the phone today. Great service all round!

Today, I got a call from this number claiming to be Tesco Bank. I didn’t bother pressing any buttons like they asked and just ended the call. Later, I looked it up online and saw this listing. To be sure, I rang Tesco Bank’s official Customer Service, and they confirmed it was them trying to verify a payment. Glad I spoke to a real person instead of dealing with an automated system.

My elderly mum got calls from this number on both her mobile and landline - they kept ringing six times in just one day! The message was automated, claiming there were updates to her Tesco card payments and asked for details like her date of birth. Fortunatey, she didn’t give any info, and we called her credit card company who confirmed they hadn’t tried to contact her at all. Turns out, it’s a scam, and somehow someone has shared my mum’s phone numbers. Her landline is ex-directory, so I have no idea how they got hold of that info.

I decided not to pick up the phone and just rejected the call. After that, I looked up the number on Google. Some users claim it’s a scam, while others say it’s Tesco Bank ringing about overdue credit card bills. Funny enough, I got a letter from Tesco yesterday about a missed payment, so it seems the call is genuine in my case. But it does make me wonder - why do some people say it’s a scam and others swear it’s Tesco? Surely it can’t be both, right?
