Someone rang me saying they were from ICM (now known as Walnut Unlimited) and claimed to be working with Kings College London about the Salisbury Nerve Agent Attack research. I told them it was really inappropriate and asked them to take my number off their list. They said they're exempt from the TPS because they’re not selling anything, just collecting research info, so TPS won’t be of any use here.

Got a call from ICM Direct, which I think is now called Walnut. They said they were doing a survey about a passport application on behalf of HM Passport Office. They had my daughter’s name and the call was all about her passport application. They asked loads of questions, the call went on quite a bit. Got a call from this number, they said they were from the passport office and wanted some feedback. The lady had a posh English accent which sounded fake, definitely not local. She asked to talk to my daughter first - and shockingly, they knew her name! She’s just a kid, so surely they shouldn’t be asking her anything at all? It really worries me that they have both our phone numbers and have somehow connected them.

I got a call from someone trying to do a survey about how I use the internet and what devices I usually connect with, like my phone, tablet, and laptop. They asked about the frequency of certain online services I use as well. They even wanted personal stuff like my postcode, but I deliberately gave them the wrong one. Wish I’d thought to ask where they actually got my mobile number from, though.
