Got a call supposedly from my bank about verifying a couple of transactions. When I said they weren’t mine, I got texts saying they were from Halifax! Then they tried to block my card and wanted me to verify my address too. Honestly, really smart scammers but watch out for this trick!

I received a phone call from a chap named Jake Willis, claiming to be representing NatWest Bank. He mentioned he needed to verify some transactions that appeared potentially dodgy. I responded by saying I'm already on top of all my account activity and I wouldn’t divulge any personal information unless he specified exactly which transactions he was talking about. Suspicion got the better of me, and I expressed my doubts about the legitimacy of the call. At that point, he abruptly ended the conversation.

I received a rather curious phone call about a Santander card, but here's the kicker-I don’t even possess one! The chap on the line continued to probe me about what other cards I might have. I pointed out that if he were truly legitimate, he'd already know which bank I deal with. Seemed a bit dodgy to me, so I ended the conversation.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from Lloyds Bank, which struck me as odd given that it was around 4 AM. When I inquired about the reason behind the call, they informed me it was supposedly regarding some fraudulent activity on my account. I found it quite amusing, considering I don't even have an account with Lloyds. The situation escalated quickly, and they even told me to 'bugger off'. Quite the experience, I must say!
