I got a call from a polite guy with an Asian accent claiming to be from National Grid. He said he wanted to take a meter reading, but we’ve never had anyone from National Grid come to our meter before - it’s all done automatically. So this immediately felt like another scam. I told him I’d ring up National Grid myself to check. He mentioned he was calling from their Head Office near Victoria Station in London.
