I got a text from Halifax that said: "Our records indicate you might have encountered an issue with a recent cash withdrawal from an ATM. If this applies to you, kindly reach out to us at 0345 3004558." However, I don't have a Halifax card and haven’t experienced any difficulties with cash withdrawals at all! Quite odd, really.
